Questions plumbers often ask
Emergency callout late in the evening — how do I show the rate?
Agree on the emergency surcharge upfront, by phone or text. On the invoice, put it on a separate line — for example "Evening surcharge between 18:00 and 22:00" with the agreed amount. That way your client knows exactly what they paid for the urgency.
Materials: buy myself or run them through my supplier?
Both work, just make it clear on the invoice. If you buy materials yourself and pass them through, list them on separate lines (often 21% VAT for materials). If they go directly via the supplier to the client, those don't appear on your invoice — only your labour does.
How do I handle maintenance contracts on the invoice?
A maintenance contract is usually a fixed amount per period (quarterly, half-yearly, yearly). Use a recurring invoice for that: set it up once, and FactuurSturen.app sends it automatically at the agreed time. Any extra hours or replacements get invoiced separately when they happen.
