An invoice with a QR code gets paid faster

Your client scans with their phone, picks their bank, pays. No typing IBAN, no missed reference, no "I'll do it later". FactuurSturen automatically adds an iDEAL QR code to every invoice — IBAN, amount and payment reference are inside it.

Why a QR code on your invoice makes the difference

One scan instead of six fields

Without a QR code, your client has to type IBAN, amount, reference, and your name. With one: scan, choose, done. Less work = paid faster.

No more typos

IBAN mistyped? Amount off by a digit? Can't happen with a QR code — it's all encoded.

Works with every Dutch bank

The QR is the official standard (EPC QR) supported by all Dutch banks. Your client scans in their own banking app — ING, Rabo, ABN, bunq, all of them.

No extra software or integration

No Mollie account, no Stripe integration, no extra transaction fees. The QR is just on the PDF — your client pays straight to your account.

How it works

You make the invoice as usual

Pick the client, fill the lines, VAT, total. FactuurSturen creates a PDF.

The QR code is added automatically

At the bottom of the invoice comes a QR code with your IBAN, the amount, and a unique payment reference. Nothing to configure — it just works.

Your client scans

On their phone they open their banking app, use the scan feature (every modern banking app has one), aim it at the invoice. Amount and recipient already filled in.

They confirm and they're done

One tap to confirm. Money on its way. You see in FactuurSturen when it arrives.

Frequently asked questions about invoices with QR codes

Which QR standard does FactuurSturen use?

The EPC QR code — the European standard for SEPA payments. Every Dutch banking app (ING, Rabobank, ABN AMRO, bunq, ASN, SNS, RegioBank, Triodos, Knab) supports scanning it.

Does it work with iDEAL?

The QR is a SEPA payment request, not an iDEAL link. In practice it works the same: your client scans with their banking app, sees your account and the amount, and confirms — just like iDEAL. Money arrives directly, no intermediary.

What if my client has no smartphone?

No problem. The QR is an extra option, not required. Your client can always transfer manually using the IBAN and reference, clearly shown on the invoice.

Do I pay for the QR code?

No. The QR is part of FactuurSturen — no transaction fees, no third party taking a cut. Your client pays directly to your account, you receive the full amount.

Can I turn off the QR code if I prefer?

Yes. In your settings you can choose whether to put the QR on your invoices. Default is on because clients pay faster with it.

Does it work for foreign clients?

The EPC QR standard works within the SEPA area (most European countries). A German, Belgian or French client can scan and pay too. Clients outside Europe pay via other means — the QR doesn't apply there.

Will I be notified when my client pays via the QR?

When the amount arrives in your account and your bank syncs with FactuurSturen, you see the invoice marked as paid. If the sync isn't live for your bank yet, you can set the status manually so reminders don't go out unnecessarily.

How do I know it's the right QR code?

FactuurSturen generates the QR per invoice, containing your IBAN, the exact invoice amount, and a unique payment reference matching the invoice number. Your client sees the amount and recipient before confirming — no room for confusion.
